It is now possible to restore Earth's climate to a sustainable pre-industrial level.

Negative impacts of climate change are occurring in all regions around the world. There is now widespread recognition that global climate targets cannot be met by curbing new carbon dioxide emissions alone. It requires removing carbon from the atmosphere at a massive scale worldwide.

The "net zero" strategy, of simply halting new carbon and methane emissions by a future target date, will not end the climate crisis. That will only freeze harmful emissions at an unacceptable level.

Climate Restoration supports clean renewable energy transition, conservation, recycling and all the strategies identified to achieve "net zero", PLUS restoring a pre-industrial climate to our planet.

Climate restoration offers a bold, scientifically grounded strategy that is both practical and immediately implementable.

BWA is working to advance climate restoration through public awareness, political will, and a global/local climate restoration economy.
